Work Experiences

I worked in the Ntuc Income headquarters in bras basah as a part- time administration staff for a period of 4 months during the O lvls period break before preparing for the commencement of my new school term. Through there I experienced a slice of a office staff’s life but however found it to be quite satisfying and to my liking. My perception of office work previously was mainly how mundane it looked being holed up in your office cubicle with only your blinking monitor to entertain you.

However I realized that work colleagues plays a huge part in the office work line. This taught me the importance of having good emotional quotient and socializing skills.

Although my work scope was mainly scanning files, data entries and updating on the particulars of insurance holders, I learnt that being meticulous is vital as once a mistake is committed, it takes on a chain effect that leads on to many repercussions and extra work done to make things right again.

As the period of my working experience was short, my scope of work does not cover many aspects of business administration. However for what I lack I compensate it with my willingness to learn.

I am also currently registered under the Ministry of Education as a relief teacher.
